Heritage Veterinary Medical Center in San Antonio, TX is a full service hospital where we provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories.  We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. We have always been committed to the highest quality health care possible for our patients, and the most caring and considerate treatment of their owners. Our facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels. 


HISTORY....   

Heritage Animal Hospital was first established by Dr. Larry and Loretta Ehrlund in 1981. 
The hospital first opened its doors on Marbach and 410 to a variety of species of all sizes. 
The hospital stayed open at this location for six wonderful years until it was time for change and expansion. 
In 1987 the Marbach and Hunt Lane clinic opened its doors. 
This clinic stayed open until the passing of Dr. Larry Ehrlund.

 In the year of  2001 Dr. Loretta Ehrlund opened Heritage Animal Hospital on 9815 Culebra Road and has been at this location since.

In 2007 it was time to expand once more so Dr. Ehrlund began construction on a new clinic. 
This advance clinic was being built parallel to culebra across cliff briar.
